Sale of the business of THERMIX® profile sections for insulating glass.

ALU-PRO and ENSINGER are pleased to announce that they have started exclusive negotiations for the sale of the THERMIX® insulating glass profile sections business to ALU-PRO. The closing of the transaction will be completed as soon as possible, subject to the usual closing conditions and terms and regulatory approvals.

Mr. Alessandro Fenzi, CEO of the FENZI GROUP, said: "We are excited to expand our product range with an additional high-performance profile section. We have been impressed by the technological expertise of ENSINGER and the know-how associated with Thermix® will be a great added value for our Group."

Mr. Roland Reber, Managing Director of ENSINGER, commented: "We are happy to have found a partner that focuses on the future and growth of Thermix®. The sale of this division will allow us focusing more on the business on the main areas of activity of ENSINGER".

The ENSINGER GROUP deals with the development, manufacture, as well as the distribution and sale of compounds, semi-finished products, profile sections and technical components, made of high-performance and construction plastic materials. ENSINGER uses various production processes for this purpose, including, above all, extrusion, mechanical processing and injection moulding. With a total of 2,500 employees divided between 33 locations, the Company is present with production plants or representations in many industrial regions of the world.

ENSINGER has been manufacturing Thermix® spacer profile sections in the Cham (Bavaria) production plant since 1994. The warm edge profile sections for insulating glass eliminate the thermal bridge at the level of the windows and contribute to significant savings in terms of energy and heating costs.

Multitech is also manufactured in Italy from 2017

Following the new commercial successes, manufacture started at the Alu - Pro plant in Noale (Venice - Italy) for the innovative rigid spacer by Alu - Pro and Rolltech.

Multitech is a last generation rigid spacer profile section, made of plastic reinforced with a special multilayer barrier. Developed by the Alu - Pro and Rolltech laboratories, it is marketed all over the world through the Glass Alliance network, thus positioning itself among the products of the industry with the best performances of linear thermal transmittance (Psi).

Thanks to the particular performance of the extremely thin but exceptionally resistant multilayer barrier, the new profile section meets the most stringent international standards in force, thus ensuring excellent results in terms of resistance to the passage of humidity and gas with all types of sealants on the market today.

The high thermal performance immediately made it a short distance from the market launch a leading product so as to require the next production also in the Alu - Pro plant in Noale (VE).

High surface temperature of the glass, maximum reduction of the possible formation of condensation on the glass inside the house, reduction of heating costs and decrease of CO2 emissions, are just some of the many advantages that this new profile section manages to combine with a great ease of processing and extremely competitive costs.

Multitech can also be manufactured in the special version with fins, to be used in the manufacture of insulating glass units equipped with solar shields integrated in the double-glazing unit.
It is available in all the main thicknesses (from 8 to 24 mm) and in various colors: Black (similar to RAL 9004), Light Gray (similar to RAL 7035), Titanium Gray (similar to RAL 9023) and White (similar to RAL 9016).
